The process of delimitation and demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border will not move forward since Azerbaijan seeks to snatch new territories from Armenia instead of engaging in a process in line with international principles and precedents, claims MP Tigran Abrahamyan of the opposition Pativ Unem faction.

“The public discourse currently focuses on the issue of whether to continue concessions to Azerbaijan to achieve the promised peace or to fight back and win,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.

"The number of those who still believe that Armenia will be able to achieve peace through territorial concessions has significantly decreased. They either no longer believe in the Armenian authorities or they have the sad experience of the past 5-6 years, when Armenia constantly ceded something, while Azerbaijan made more and more new demands,” the MP stated.

He calls for struggle on all fronts, including propaganda and diplomatic efforts, to deter Azerbaijan.

“But the question begged here is: who should lead this struggle, the Pashinyan government? Let's leave aside their brazen behavior, which we observe exclusively inside the country, while outside Armenia they are a bunch of losers and obedient slaves of Aliyev,” the deputy noted.

“The public has seen only promises of determination, resounding statements and endless pledges, while there are zero results and low confidence in the prospects promised by the authorities. Here is a brief overview of the problems and the deadlock we are facing. As long as Pashinyan and his supporters remain in power, the chain of defeats will unfortunately continue in Armenia," Abrahamyan said.
