Opera singer says Yerevan Conservatory relocation 'absurd'
Opera singer Hayk Tigranyan has deplored the Armenian government’s "absurd" proposal to move Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory to the Academic City and merge it with other art universities.
Speaking with Panorama.am on Wednesday, the artist highlights the conservatories in the major countries of the world are located in their capitals.
“A university could open to house its branch, but the relocation of Yerevan Conservatory is something absurd. I stand with my colleagues,” he underlined.
The singer believes the struggle of the Conservatory professors and students against it relocation and merger will be successfull.
