Major foreign investors sue Armenian government
Armenia's ranking among foreign investors continues to decline consistently amid targeted efforts made by the current Armenian leadership, Pastinfo reports.
A number of major companies have now filed lawsuits against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s government in the International Court of Arbitration.
They include Sanitek International Group, Amulsar Investor Ventures LLC, a shareholder of Lydian International, and the Swiss company Walnort Finance Limited LLC, which owns 12.5% shares in the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC).
“The companies are engaged in different spheres, including garbage disposal, gold, molybdenum and copper mining, but all of them have challenged the illegal actions or criminal inaction of the Armenian government after Nikol Pashinyan came to power, as a result of which foreign investors suffered major losses, while we, the Armenian citizens, will have to pay for the incompetence of oligarchs,” Pastinfo says.
