Yerevan Municipality official detained in corruption probe
A female official of the Yerevan Municipality has been detained in a corruption investigation.
Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Court on Friday ordered a two-month detention for Knarik Petrosyan, a chief specialist of the municipality’s Department of Architecture and Urban Development, approving the investigator’s request, its spokesperson Mery Gevorgyan announced.
Anti-Corruption Committee spokeswoman Marina Ohanjanyan reported the arrests of five individuals, including an official from the mayor’s office, after law-enforcement officers raided the department on Thursday.
