Armenia makes every effort towards normalization with Azerbaijan, FM says
Armenia and Kazakhstan seek to expand bilateral ties, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said following talks with his Kazakh counterpart Murat Nurtleu in Yerevan on Monday.
He hailed the high-level political dialogue, as well as dynamically developing trade and economic relations between the two countries.
“Nevertheless, we have great untapped opportunities. During the meeting, we agreed that both sides are ready to develop bilateral relations and utilize these opportunities,” Mirzoyan said.
The two ministers discussed the Armenian government’s Crossroads of Peace project and logistics opportunities based on respect for the sovereignty and jurisdiction of all countries and in compliance with the principles of equality and reciprocity.
Mirzoyan said he briefed his Kazakh counterpart on the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process.
“I’ve reiterated that Armenia remains committed to the peace agenda and makes every effort towards the soonest possible normalization of relations with Azerbaijan and the signing of a bilateral peace treaty based on the mutual recognition of each other’s territorial integrity and further delimitation of borders,” he noted.
