UK ambassador: Ukraine conflict affects international security
The war in Ukraine affects the international security, UK Ambassador to Armenia John Gallagher says.
Speaking at a roundtable discussion in Yerevan on Wednesday, the diplomat said the UK responded to the conflict by providing assistance to Ukraine to resist the Russian invasion.
"Security issues are becoming more and more complex over time. We are supporting our partners to increase the level of security," Gallagher said.
According to the ambassador, the number of conflicts in the world is increasing amid growing poverty.
"As for Armenia, we promote the inclusive dialogue with different methods. In order to achieve peace, the important role of civil society should be emphasized, because it is the first to be affected by the conflict," the UK diplomat added.
