Mkhitaryan reveals plans after retirement
Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has no plans to become a coach after his retirement.
Mkhitaryan was a guest of Andrea Ranocchia in the latest episode of Frog Talks, the video podcast where the former defender interviews Inter players.
"I have already spent plenty of time on the pitch. Coaching requires much more time, as well as analysis and discussions with football players. So I don't want that. Maybe I will opt for sports director," said the 35-year-old Armenian midfielder.
Mkhitaryan has also revealed that he speaks five languages, including Armenian, Russian, English, French and Italian.
"Off the pitch, I enjoy playing chess: it gives me the opportunity to think, to understand how to move and where to go, trying to anticipate the opponent's future moves," he said.
Mkhitaryan's contract with Inter expires in June 2026.
