Armenian deputy defense minister comments on border situation
Armenian Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan says the people will be duly informed in case of a possible Azerbaijani military buildup along the border with Armenia.
"If any problems arise, we will inform you. Please follow official statements!" he told reporters in the National Assembly in response to a question about whether Azerbaijan is amassing troops along its border with Armenia in Tavush Province.
When asked whether a final decision has been made regarding the four villages of Tavush which could be ceded to Azerbaijan, he said: "The public discusses everything openly, transparently, no one lacks information, analysis and expression of opinions."
Sargsyan assured that the authorities were not taking any disturbing steps and refused to answer any other questions.
