MP Abrahamyan rejects promises of int'l security guarantees to Armenia
Israel's policy towards Palestine, including the humanitarian blockade and targeting of the civilian population, is a common practice which Azerbaijan also used against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), says MP Tigran Abrahamyan of the opposition Pativ Unem faction.
"Amid the blockade of Palestine, a number of countries are carrying out airdrops of humanitarian aid to its residents to meet their needs. It’s true that they help resolve the problems partially, but the fact remains that the same could have been done during the 9-month blockade of Artsakh,” he wrote on Facebook on Monday.
“Moreover, Artsakh’s population was much smaller than that of Palestine, and humanitarian aid airdrops would have solved big problems.
“Strangely, the countries that could have pressured Azerbaijan to achieve at least a partial break of the blockade, not only failed to do so, but also now promise Armenia international security guarantees,” the MP noted.
