Armenian MP warns of threats after possible land handover to Azerbaijan
Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan has warned of threats to a number of settlements in Armenia amid Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s signaled readiness to cede more territory to Azerbaijan.
He shared maps on Facebook on Wednesday showing the Azerbaijani military positions after the possible surrender of eight villages in Tavush Province to Baku.
“To put it short, in the conditions of a semi-blockade, the town of Noyemberyan and nearby villages would be far more vulnerable. Azerbaijani forces would be deployed dangerously close to various settlements in Lori Province,” the MP wrote. “In addition, the main communications in Tavush and the rest of Armenia would be disrupted, while new ones would be at a dangerous distance from the enemy.”
