MP Aghvan Vardanyan visits arrested activists
MP Aghvan Vardanyan, who represents the opposition Hayastan faction, on Thursday visited the Armavir Penitentiary where activists Vazgen Saghatelyan and Narek Samsonyan are being held.
The two men, who co-host the Imnemnimi podcast, were arrested in Yerevan on charges of using slur language against Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his regime last week. The Prosecutor’s Office and the courts were quick to wrap the criminal case and incarcerate both for two months.
"The guys are doing very well and stay strong. They said they would continue their activities, and I expressed our support to them," Vardanyan told Hraparak.
