Police raiding homes of Armenian opposition group members
The Armenian authorities are searching the homes of members and supporters of the opposition group National Democratic Pole as well as its offices following an attack on a police station in Yerevan last week.
The alliance said in a statement on Friday that the Armenian police and the National Security Service began searches since early Friday morning.
“At the moment, the police are searching the home of Jirair Sefilian, a National Democratic Pole board member,” it added.
Searches are also underway in the houses of Garo Yeghnukian, Ashot Petrosyan, Vahagn Avagyan and Ara Papian.
