U,S. Embassy rejects arrested activist Narek Samsonyan's letter
The U.S. Embassy in Yerevan on Friday refused to accept an open letter from arrested opposition activist and Imnemnimi podcast co-host Narek Samsonyan addressed to Ambassador Kristina Kvien.
Samsonyan’s teammates wanted to hand the letter over to the ambassador, but were told to submit its copy to the U.S. Embassy via email.
"Frankly speaking, it came as a surprise to me. However, let’s record that, unfortunately, we could not deliver the letter to the embassy," journalist David Fidanyan said.
He read out the letter-inquiry in a live broadcast.
