Conjoined twin Abby Hensel marries US army veteran
Famous conjoined twin Abby Hensel married a US Army veteran in a secret ceremony in 2021, the Daily Star reported.
Abby and Brittany Hensel shot to fame aged just six when they appeared on an episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show back in 1996. The 34-year-old women are fused together at the torso, with each controlling one side of their body.
From the waist down, all their organs, including the intestine, bladder and reproductive organs, are shared. Even still, the pair defied the oods to learn how to drive, graduate high school and now, it appears, tie the knot.
According to public records obtained by TODAY Abby got married to Josh Bowling, a nurse and army veteran, in 2021.
Her relationship with Josh, who is a father-of-one, has not been public knowledge since the twins have kept a lower profile after a hit TLC show about their lives as teens.
However, according to TODAY, the sisters have shared photos of the wedding on social media. The couple live in Minnesota, where the Hensels are from, and where they work as fifth grade teachers.
