Seven chess players from Armenia on FIDE rating list
The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has released its April 2024 rating list.
The men's list features three chess players from Armenia, including Haik Martirosyan, Gabriel Sargissian and Samvel Ter-Sahakyan.
Martirosyan sits 54th, Sargissian comes 63rd and Ter-Sahakyan ranks 93rd on the list of top 100 players.
GM Levon Aronian, who currently plays for the U.S. Chess Federation, is placed 22nd.
The women's list includes four chess players of Armenia – Elina Danielyan (51st), Anna Sargsyan (73rd), Lilit Mkrtchian (82nd) and Mariam Mkrtchyan (95th).
