Young Armenian boxes off to Croatia for European Championships
The Armenian youth boxing team has travelled to Croatia for the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships, the Boxing Federation of Armenia reports.
The male boxers coached by Vazgen Badalyan include Levon Vardanyan (48 kg), Davit Safaryan (51 kg), Arthur Avetikyan (54 kg), Erik Arstamyan (57 kg), Andranik Martirosyan (60 kg), Rafayel Nersisyan (63.5 kg), Argishti Hakobyan (67 kg), Marat Mikayelyan (71 kg), Albert Harutyunyan (75 kg), Armen Poghosyan (80 kg), Norayr Hakobyan (86 kg), Davit Simonyan (92 kg) and Misak Stepanyan (+92 kg).
The female members of the Armenian team are Heghine Petrosyan (48 kg), Lucy Avetisyan (54 kg) and Lilit Asatryan (60 kg). Their coach is Khachik Khachatryan.
The European Boxing Championships are taking place from 3-14 April.
