UNESCO to host events marking Parajanov's 100th anniversary
An Armenian delegation led by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan has paid an official visit to Paris to attend the events marking the 100th anniversary of prominent filmmaker Sergei Parajanov at the UNESCO headquarters, her ministry reported on Wednesday.
Parajanov’s “The Color of Pomegranates” and an exhibition dedicated to his films are planned on the sidelines of the events. The education minister is expected to deliver opening remarks at the UNESCO HQ.
Meetings with representatives of UNESCO, the French Ministry of National Education and Youth, as well as different museums are also planned.
