Baku unveils condition for invitation of Catholicos Karekin II to religious leaders' meeting
Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II will be invited to attend a meeting of religious leaders in Baku later this year if he changes his position on Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Department (CMD) Allahshukur Pashazadeh told reporters on Wednesday.
The Azerbaijani spiritual leader also accused Karekin II and the Armenian Church of "promoting revanchism".
"If the Armenian Church changes its position, recognizing Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan, we may invite them to the meeting of religious leaders," the Azerbaijani media quoted Pashazadeh as saying.
