Economist: World Bank forecasts 5.5% economic growth for Armenia in 2024
The World Bank (WB) has released its Europe and Central Asia Economic Update, forecasting 5.5% and 4.9% economic growth for Armenia in 2024 and 2025, respectively, economist Suren Parsyan says.
The World Bank projected Armenia’s GDP growth at 4.7% and 4.5% in its previous report.
Among EAEU member states, Kyrgyzstan’s economy is expected to grow by 4.5%, while 3.4% growth is forecast for Kazakhstan in 2024.
Economic growth in Russia and Belarus is projected at 2.2% and 1.2%, respectively.
“Among the regional countries, the real GDP growth in Georgia is estimated at 5.2% during the reporting period, down by 0.4 percentage points from the previous forecast. Economic growth is projected to be 3% in Turkey and 2.3% in Azerbaijan,” Parsyan wrote.
