Police in Yerevan seize flyers about 'missing' ombudsperson
Police officers on Monday seized flyers regarding Armenian Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan distributed by two employees of the AntiFake media outlet in Yerevan.
The flyers ironically warned that the ombudsperson “has gone missing” and urged people to provide any information on her current whereabouts.
Earlier on Monday, AntiFake reported that two of its employees, host David Fidanyan and cameraman Ishkhan Khosrovian, were detained in Yerevan for posting flyers in support of political prisoners Vazgen Saghatelyan and Narek Samsonyan, co-hosts of the Imnemnimi podcast.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the AntiFake employees.
In late March, Vazgen Saghatelyan and Narek Samsonyan were given two-month pretrial detention on charges of “hooliganism” after they used slur language to criticize Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his government.
