Is Pashinyan going to attend Putin's inauguration?
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The EAEU anniversary summit is scheduled to be held in Moscow on May 8. The inauguration of Vladimir Putin, who secured a landslide reelection victory on March 17, is also planned in May.
Panorama.am submitted requests to the Armenian government and the Foreign Ministry, seeking to find out whether Nikol Pashinyan plans to attend Putin’s inauguration ceremony if he receives an invitation from Russia.
The Armenian government replied that the Prime Minister's Office "provides timely and appropriate information" on all visits of Nikol Pashinyan.
The Foreign Ministry, at the same time, recalled Nikol Pashinyan's statement at a parliamentary briefing on April 11 in response to a question whether he would participate in the EAEU anniversary summit and Vladimir Putin's inauguration. "The possibility of participation is being considered. Further information will be communicated after a decision is made,” Pashinyan said.
