Protest to 'stop' Pashinyan held outside Armenian government
A group of people led by activist Vahagn Chakhalyan on Thursday staged a protest outside the Armenian government building in central Yerevan, demanding that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s administration protect Armenia’s territorial integrity.
The protesters, who held posters reading “Stop Nikol!”, “Enough is enough!” and the like, warned against the handover of border villages to Azerbaijan and the opening of a land corridor through Armenia’s Syunik Province. They also called for efforts to ensure the safe return of the Artsakh Armenians to their homes.
“This marks a new stage in our struggle,” Chakhalyan announced at the protest, urging all to join them to “stop” Pashinyan and his government through peaceful acts of civil disobedience.
“We will continue to fight until we stop Nikol,” he added.
