Pashinyan: Russian border guards will leave Tavush
Russian border guards will leave Armenia’s Tavush Province following the delimitation of the border with Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Saturday.
“Russian border posts will be withdrawn from the border zone of Tavush Province,” he told reporters in Stepanavan.
Pashinyan stated the situation which necessitated the deployment of Russian border guards to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in Tavush “is changing significantly”.
“It means that now we don't have a frontline but a border, which is a marker for peace,” he added.
