No exact date yet for meeting of Armenian, Azeri FMs
Armenia and Azerbaijan are yet to agree on the exact date for a meeting between their foreign ministers in Kazakhstan, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.
"As previously stated, Armenia considers and supports mediation efforts or negotiation platforms that are actually aimed at achieving lasting peace in the South Caucasus,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan told Lurer on Friday.
“Armenia supports the fundamental principles and mutually agreed documents, including the process of Armenia and Azerbaijan recognizing each other's territorial integrity and delimitation of borders based on the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration.
"Regarding the proposal of the Kazakh side, we will announce the date of the possible meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan as soon as an agreement is reached," she noted.
