German Armenian council expresses unwavering support for Tavush movement
The Central Council of German Armenians expresses its unwavering support to the Tavush for the Homeland movement and is concerned about the ongoing illegal border delimitation and demarcation with Azerbaijan in Tavush Province.
“We call on the Armenian government to abandon its defeatist politics and unilateral concessions risking collapse of Armenia’s security and loss of statehood,” it said in a statement on Saturday.
The council denounced the police brutality against protesters in the border village of Kirants on Thursday.
“If the Armenian government continues with its destructive policy and if our concerns are ignored, the Diaspora will have to take drastic measures,” reads the statement.
