Kremlin says Putin-Pashinyan talks 'necessary and expected'
The upcoming talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, which are to be held today in the Kremlin, are necessary and expected, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"The meeting is necessary and expected by both sides," TASS quoted him as saying.
The Kremlin said earlier that recently "problematic issues have piled up" in Moscow-Yerevan relations. The Russian authorities expect the upcoming negotiations to set the record straight.
