The United States continues to believe that peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is possible, U.S. Department of State deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel said.
“We continue to believe that peace is possible. It’s something that the Secretary and others continue to remain deeply engaged on. I don’t have any updates on the negotiations between the parties, but we will continue to support this process,” he told a press briefing on Monday.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov held fresh talks in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on May 10-11.
