Artsakh war veteran Ishkhan Gevorgyan arrested
Activist and 2020 Artsakh war veteran Ishkhan Gevorgyan was detained for 72 hours late on Tuesday evening.
The man and his friends were arrested on suspicion of possession of weapons.
Gevorgyan is actively involved in protests against the Armenian government’s unilateral territorial concessions to Azerbaijan.
He staged a sit-in outside the government building for a few days in opposition to the surrender of four border villages in Tavush Province.
The war veteran also chained himself to the overpass on Komitas Avenue in Yerevan on Monday to protest the police brutality against a fallen soldier’s mother.
