'Nikol the traitor': Protesters flock to streets in central Yerevan
Protesters demanding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation on Wednesday flocked to the streets adjacent to Liberty Square in central Yerevan.
They were chanting “Nikol the traitor!” and “Shame!” and blowing vuvuzelas as participants of the EBRD annual forum arrived at Yerevan’s Opera House facing the square.
Pashinyan is expected to address the EBRD Board of Governors’ opening session at the Opera House later on Wednesday.
As Panorama.am reported earlier, a large number of police forces had been deployed to Liberty Square and its surroundings.
