Live: People gather outside church in central Yerevan for rally
A large number of people have gathered in the courtyard of St. Anna Church in central Yerevan for a march to Liberty Square where the Tavush for the Homeland movement plans to hold a rally late on Wednesday afternoon.
The square is facing the city's Opera House which is set to host an event as part of the EBRD's 2024 Annual Meeting and Business Forum in attendance of Nikol Pashinyan today.
Large police forces have been deployed near Liberty Square which is surrounded by barricades.
The police have said that the movement of people and vehicles in the area will be restricted from 3pm to 8pm to maintain public order and security during the event.
