Archbishop Bagrat insists on Pashinyan's ouster
Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan of the Tavush Diocese has insisted on the ouster of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his government to stop the unilateral territorial concessions to Azerbaijan.
His comments came after the Armenian and Azerbaijani border delimitation commissions on Wednesday signed a protocol furthering the handover of four border areas in Tavush Province to Baku which was hailed by Pashinyan at today’s cabinet meeting.
In a video message on Thursday, the senior cleric condemned the authorities for ignoring the strong public opposition to the border deal with Azerbaijan, as well as concerns expressed by experts.
“The removal of the incumbent authorities with our collective efforts, devotion, strong will, patience and persistence has become an imperative. There is no alternative to it,” Galstanyan said.
