Armenian political analyst warns of 'dangers time' for Armenia
Israel has at least three months to “cleanse” the Gaza Strip of Palestinians, political analyst Stepan Danielyan says, referring to the possible developments following the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and other officials in a helicopter crash on Sunday.
Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber is expected assume the presidency after Raisi's death. Snap presidential elections to pick a permanent successor are to be held within 50 days.
In a social media post on Monday, Danielyan stated that Iran was undergoing major internal political changes and would not be able to respond fully and sharply to external challenges.
"This is a challenge for the Arab countries because they will not be able to take shelter behind Iran, which has undertaken the key mission of protecting the Palestinians. The primary responsibility now lies with the Arab countries,” he wrote.
“This is a dangerous time for us as well since Iran may not be able to fully protect its red lines in the Caucasus during this time," the political analyst stated.
