LIVE: Protesters led by Archbishop Bagrat march through central Yerevan
Demonstrators led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan began marching through the center of Yerevan from the yard of St. Anne's Church on Monday afternoon.
Currently, they are marching along the Mashtots Avenue.
Speaking to reporters, the senior cleric reiterated that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his government were “scared” of the protest movement sparked by their unilateral territorial concessions to Azerbaijan.
“Thousands of police officers are protecting one man,” he said.
Singer David Amalyan, who had been detained along with hundreds of other protesters earlier on Monday, joined the marchers.
