Political analyst slams brutality against protesters, says Pashinyan's regime 'cracking'
Political analyst Abraham Gasparyan, founding director of the Genesis Armenia think-tank and foundation, accused police of fulfilling the illegal orders of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's regime to clamp down on protesters demanding his resignation.
He was among more than 200 people detained during acts of civil disobedience in Yerevan on Monday.
Traces of blood could be spotted on Gasparyan's T-shirt after he left the police custody later in the afternoon, indicating brutality against him during his detention.
"We see that excessive force is being used against numerous people, regardless of their gender, age or other circumstances,” he told reporters. “Values are so distorted in our society that an ignoramus dares to raise his hand even against a candidate of sciences or a doctor.”
"The dawn is just around the corner. Nikol, no one is afraid of you or your pack of mowgli! We will wage this struggle to the end. The more repressions you use, the more your regime will crack,” the expert said, addressing the premier.
