Expert: Journalist wants Turkish special forces to 'protect' Pashinyan
Varuzhan Geghamyan, a geopolitical strategist and regional security expert, states that almost all Turkish political figures have recently expressed support for Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan amid concerns over the protest movement against him led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan.
In a social media post on Friday, he quoted Independent Turkish news website editor-in-chief Nevzat Cicek as saying in an interview that Turkey should send special forces to Armenia to “protect” Pashinyan.
“Azerbaijan has also expressed disapproval of the Holy Movement, proposing to deploy troops to Armenia to support Pashinyan," the expert wrote.
"You should know who supports the Armenian authorities and tell others about it,” Geghamyan emphasized.
