Protesters end rally outside Armenian Investigative Committee
Members and supporters of the Tavush for the Homeland movement led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan completed their rally outside the Armenian Investigative Committee on Monday.
Yerevan police were out in force to cordon off the Investigative Committee building.
The archbishop called for criminal charges against “all those hooligans” who assaulted the protesters, including Ashot Simonyan, Ashot Harutyunyan, Arman Sargsyan, Karen Gevorgyan, Arsen Grigoryan, as well as two deacons near the Foreign Ministry on Friday.
The cleric announced that all the protesters detained amid clashes with police outside the ministry were to be released later on Monday.
The demonstrators led by Galstanyan next marched to St. Anna Church in central Yerevan.
