Budapest Ranking Series: Armenian wrestlers win 2 gold, 1 silver
Armenian freestyle wrestlers clinched two gold and one silver medals at the final Ranking Series before the Olympics in Budapest on Thursday, the Wrestling Federation of Armenia reported.
Armenia’s Arsen Harutyunyan took a 4-1 win over Taiyrbek Zhumashbek Uulu of Kyrgyzstan to bag the 61kg gold.
Armenian wrestlers Vazgen Tevanyan and Arman Andreasyan faced each other in the 70kg final. Tevanyan withdrew from the final and Andreasyan was declared the winner. They took silver and gold medals, respectively.
