Two victims of gas station blast in Armenia 'fighting for their lives'
Two victims of a gas station explosion in Armenia’s Kotayk Province “are fighting for their lives”, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, head of the Health Ministry National Center for Burns and Dermatology, said on Friday.
The blast rocked a filling station near the Yerevan-Sevan highway last night, leaving seven people injured and hospitalized.
Six of the victims were taken to the National Center for Burns, while another was discharged from the hospital in the town of Abovyan after undergoing medical care.
Hovhannisyan told reporters that two blast victims were in critical condition in intensive care as their burns covered 60% of body surface.
"They have suffered third or fourth degree burns. Their backs and limbs are almost completely burned," he added.
