Protesters march through central Yerevan
A group of protesters led by opposition MP Garnik Danielyan began marching through central Yerevan streets on Tuesday morning.
They reached the intersection of Leo and Paronyan Streets where a pregnant woman was hit and killed by a police car escorting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's motorcade in 2022.
Sona Mnatsakanyan, 29, was struck by the police SUV while crossing the street in April. The vehicle did not stop after the crash.
"We are approaching an intersection where a hideous incident took place. A speeding police car struck and killed a pregnant woman. He was never imprisoned and remains in his position," Danielyan said via a megaphone when the marchers reached the road.
