Political analyst expects protest movement in Armenia to reach new peak
The protest movement in Armenia led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan will reach a new peak at Wednesday’s rally, political analyst Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan says.
“Every process has its ups and downs. One of the features of the holy struggle is that even the so-called "downs" have positive dynamics deep down. In other words, the process is still evolving, just its intensity has changed,” he said in a social media post on Tuesday.
“It's going to reach a new peak on Wednesday. Moreover, tomorrow will probably be the most decisive day,” the analyst added, urging all to join the rally.
Members and supporters of the Tavush for the Homeland movement led by Galstanyan have blocked Baghramyan Avenue adjacent to the Armenian parliament since early Monday to press for an emergency parliament session on the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his cabinet.
