Senior ARF members detained in Armenia
Senior members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) were detained on Friday after the law-enforcement authorities searched its offices in Armenia’s Vayots Dzor Province, opposition MP and ARF member Lilit Galstyan revealed.
“Searches have been conducted at the ARF offices in the towns of Vayk and Yeghegnadzor since Friday morning,” she wrote on Facebook, accusing the government of attempts to repress and intimidate its opponents.
“Members of the governing body of the Vayots Dzor committee have been detained,” Galstyan said.
She accused Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s regime of efforts to “cling to power in panic.”
"This is a planned and targeted attack on the ARF to disrupt its activities, which is doomed to failure,” the MP said.
