Armenia, France sign military cooperation agreement
Armenia and France signed a new military-technical agreement on Monday when Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan visited France, his ministry reported.
"On June 17, within the scope of Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan's working visit to France, a military-technical cooperation agreement was signed between the Armenian Ministry of Defense and the French military-industrial company KNDS," the ministry said in a statement.
Papikyan met with France's Minister for the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu to discuss the current state of defense cooperation between Armenia and France.
He provided an update on the progress of defense reforms in Armenia and the activities carried out within the framework of cooperation with France in this direction.
"Both parties emphasized the importance of military-technical cooperation. New agreements have been reached in this regard," the Defense Ministry added.
