MP slams 'despicable' government campaign against ARF
Opposition Hayastan faction MP Artsvik Minasyan, a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), denounced Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s government for a “despicable” campaign against the party.
“The ruling regime has launched yet another illegal and despicable campaign against the political forces and individuals who have stood up for Armenia, the Artsakh people’s right to self-determination and the Artsakh Republic,” Minasyan told a news conference on Tuesday.
His comments came after security forces on Friday raided the ARF offices in Vayots Dzor Province and arrested a dozen local activists for allegedly paying people to join protests in Yerevan led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan.
The MP accused Pashinyan’s government of persistent attacks on the ARF and rejected the false accusations against its activists.
