Opposition MP: Armenian government conceded strategic advantage in Syunik
Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan has reacted to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s latest trip to Syunik Province, highlighting that he visited the settlements where Armenia suffered serious strategic losses after the Azerbaijani military aggression in September 2022.
Azerbaijan advanced towards the villages of Nerkin Hand, Srashen, Shikahogh and Chakaten, allowing its troops to effectively surveil the border areas, as well as the Kapan-Meghri highway.
"Despite all government investments in the settlements, the security issue will always be hanging in the air,” Abrahamyan wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
“The authorities have conceded the strategic advantage and are now attempting to hide it carefully,” the MP added.
