Archbishop Bagrat visits border village
Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the leader of the Tavush for the Homeland protest movement, on Friday travelled to the border village of Kirants.
The local residents welcomed the archbishop and his supporters near the Kirants church.
The cleric said earlier he sought to see the barbed wire fence erected along the border with Azerbaijan in the area during the delimitation and demarcation process.
The villagers told Galstanyan they had seen no fence in the area despite Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's claims.
“Anyway, let’s try to find it. Maybe, it’s installed in a hidden place,” the cleric said, highlighting the border delimitation violated people’s rights to property.
