Expert: Efforts to push Armenia into Turkey's sphere of influence continue
Azerbaijan has falsely accused Armenia of firing at its army positions for three days now in an effort to put pressure on Armenia’s authorities, claims Varuzhan Geghamyan, a geopolitical strategist and regional security expert.
“Mostly likely, Azerbaijan seeks to speed up the subsequent territorial concessions by Armenia in Tavush and Ararat Provinces (the so-called enclaves) scheduled to start in July,” he wrote on Facebook on Saturday.
“Meanwhile, Turkey is further bolstering its influence on Armenia as best evidenced by the latest developments.
"Efforts to push Armenia into Turkey's sphere of influence continue,” the expert added.
