Armenian authorities probing soldier's death
Armenian authorities have launched a criminal investigation into the death of a serviceman in Syunik Province.
Citing the military police, the Investigative Committee said that the soldier, identified as Davit Nersisyan, suddenly felt sick and lost consciousness during muster on Monday morning.
The serviceman was rushed to a military hospital where he was pronounced death shortly afterwards.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Investigative Committee said no traces of violence were found on his body following an examination.
A forensic examination is yet to establish the cause of his death.
A preliminary probe is underway.
