Flood warning issued for some rivers in Armenia
Armenian authorities have issued a flood alert for the Vorotan, Voghji and Meghriget Rivers amid forecasts of heavy rainfall.
A cyclone is expected to deliver rain and thunderstorms to all parts of Armenia on Wednesday evening and overnight Thursday, with downpours forecast for Lori, Tavush, Gegharkunik and Syunik Provinces.
“Torrential rains could cause the Vorotan, Voghji and Meghriget Rivers to overflow their banks,” the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Service said in a statement.
