Political analyst blasts Armenian security chief's comments on Russia
Political analyst Ara Poghosyan has denounced the Armenian security chief’s latest statements on Russia.
Speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday, Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan blamed Russia for Artsakh's (Nagorno-Karabakh) surrender to Azerbaijan.
“Russia took Nagorno-Karabakh away from Armenians, returned it to Azerbaijan and left,” he said.
“This is a disgrace for Armenia. Moreover, it is not the most shameful comment made by him at the briefing,” Poghosyan wrote on Facebook.
“A country with Armen Grigoryan as secretary of its Security Council simply cannot dream of peace. Armen Grigoryan is leading Armenia not to a decent peace, but to a new war, or, at best, to a downgrade of statehood to the benefit of hostile countries,” he added.
