Opposition MP warns of backstage processes in Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization
The peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan actually seeks to squeeze Russia out of the region, claims opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan.
"There are behind-the-scenes processes going on in the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization, and both visits and phone calls from the United States and reactions from Russia are no accident," Abrahamyan wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
“Sometimes it may seem that the Armenia-Azerbaijan process has reached a dead end or there is no great activity, but deep down the process is in full swing, especially because of external interference.
"The document set before Armenia is not about achieving peace, but about squeezing Russia out,” he stated.
